“The precise role of the artist, then, is to illuminate that darkness, blaze roads through that vast forest, so that we will not, in all our doing, lose sight of its purpose, which is, after all, to make the world a more human dwelling place.”

- James Baldwin

I am a firm believer that the role of the artist is an important one, especially that of a storyteller. Theatre is transformative; it can examine what is (or what was) and strive for what can be.

Like many of us, I was drawn to theatre because of my interest in the human experience. The stories I’ve experienced have embodied the full spectrum of humanity, and engaging in them have helped me learn more about myself and the world around me.

I believe that theatre should be for all, and I look forward to creating and participating in spaces that support diverse artists and collaborators.
